About the Album
Traffic's self-titled second album, released in 1968, followed the group's psychedelic debut with a broader mix of rock, folk, and blues influences. The record includes “Feelin' Alright?,” later recorded by many other artists, as well as songs such as “You Can All Join In,” “Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring,” and “Forty Thousand Headmen.” Steve Winwood's soulful voice and keyboard work anchor the album, while Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood contribute contrasting songwriting and instrumental textures. The arrangements move between direct rock songs and more reflective, exploratory passages, showing the band developing beyond the British psychedelic scene into a more individual musical identity.
