Album Overview
Rick Wakeman's Rhapsodies, released in 1979, is a keyboard-led progressive-rock work that combines symphonic scale with melodic themes and elaborate arrangements. Wakeman's synthesizers and keyboards are at the center, moving between dramatic passages, orchestral textures, and more accessible melodic sections. The album reflects his interest in blending rock instrumentation with classical influences and a theatrical sense of composition. For fans of progressive rock, it offers another example of Wakeman's distinctive solo style beyond his work with Yes. This Japanese promotional LP edition is a collectible for keyboard enthusiasts and collectors of classic prog.
