About the Album
Pink Floyd's A Collection of Great Dance Songs, released in 1981, is a compilation that brings together selected tracks from the band's catalog in a more concise, song-focused format. Despite its playful title, the collection is not a dance album in the conventional sense; it highlights some of the group's more accessible and rhythmically direct recordings. The selection includes songs such as “One of These Days,” “Money,” “Sheep,” and “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2,” depending on edition. The compilation also reflects the band's changing sound from early experimental rock to the polished production of its late-1970s and early-1980s work. The exact sequence on this Japanese pressing should be checked against the sleeve and labels.
