About the Album
Paul Stanley's self-titled solo album, released in 1978 alongside the solo records by his Kiss bandmates, emphasizes melodic hard rock and pop songwriting. “Hold Me, Touch Me (Think of Me When We're Apart)” became a notable single, pairing a strong chorus with a polished late-1970s arrangement. Stanley's lead vocals and rhythm guitar give the album a more melodic and personal feel than Kiss's theatrical group recordings, while the songs retain a clear rock foundation. The record reflects his interest in accessible hooks and layered vocal arrangements. This Japanese Casablanca VIP-6577 edition is a collectible pressing from the unusual moment when all four original Kiss members released solo albums simultaneously.
