About the Album
Kiss's Destroyer, released in 1976, broadened the band's hard-rock sound through more elaborate arrangements and Bob Ezrin's production. “Detroit Rock City” opens with a cinematic sequence before launching into a powerful riff, while “Shout It Out Loud” delivers a communal chorus suited to the band's theatrical style. “Beth,” sung by Peter Criss, contrasts with the heavier tracks through its string arrangement, and “God of Thunder” helped shape Kiss's dramatic stage image. The album was a major step in the group's evolution from club act to arena-rock phenomenon, combining memorable songs with a more ambitious studio approach. This edition's specific packaging and catalog details should be checked against the sleeve.
