Album Overview
Wings' Wild Life, released in 1971, was the first album by Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band. Its loose, spontaneous sound contrasts with the elaborate production of some of McCartney's later work, mixing rock, blues, reggae touches, and melodic pop. Songs such as “Tomorrow” and “Dear Friend” reveal both the band's raw ensemble approach and McCartney's reflective songwriting, while the title track has a direct, free-flowing feel. Though initially received unevenly, the album has become an interesting document of McCartney establishing a new musical identity after the Beatles. This Japanese LP edition is a collectible for McCartney and Wings fans.
