Album Overview
Rough Diamond's self-titled debut, released in 1977, features musicians with roots in British hard rock, including former Uriah Heep vocalist David Byron. The album blends hard-rock guitar, melodic songwriting, and a slightly progressive edge, with Byron's expressive voice at the center. Its sound reflects the late-1970s British rock scene, balancing heavy passages with more melodic and atmospheric arrangements. Though the band had a relatively brief career, the album remains of interest to collectors exploring connections between classic British hard rock groups. This Japanese LP edition is a collectible for fans of Uriah Heep-related projects and lesser-known 1970s rock.
