About the Album

L.A. Guns' self-titled debut album, released in 1988, introduced the Los Angeles hard-rock band with a blend of gritty guitar riffs, melodic choruses, and a rougher edge than some of the era's more polished glam-metal acts. Tracks such as “Sex Action,” “Electric Gypsy,” and “One More Reason” showcase the group's mix of streetwise attitude and hook-driven songwriting. Tracii Guns's guitar work gives the music its bite, while the rhythm section keeps the songs direct and energetic. The album captures the late-1980s Sunset Strip hard-rock scene and helped establish L.A. Guns as a notable band within it. This Japanese promotional edition is a collectible release from the group's early period.
