About the Album
Giuffria's self-titled debut album, released in 1984, combines melodic hard rock with prominent keyboards, polished production, and arena-sized choruses. Gregg Giuffria's synthesizers give the songs a distinctive sheen, while Craig Goldy's guitar work and David Glen Eisley's strong lead vocals provide the rock foundation. “Call to the Heart” became a notable single, pairing a memorable melody with a dramatic arrangement. The album reflects the mid-1980s trend toward keyboard-rich melodic metal, balancing guitar solos with carefully arranged hooks. It remains a representative release from the band's short but distinctive career.
