About the Album
Dio's Holy Diver, released in 1983, established Ronnie James Dio's solo career after his work with Rainbow and Black Sabbath. The album combines powerful heavy-metal riffs, dramatic vocals, and fantasy-inspired storytelling. The title track became one of Dio's signature songs, while “Rainbow in the Dark” pairs a memorable melody with prominent keyboards and a driving rhythm. Vivian Campbell's guitar work adds sharp riffs and expressive solos, supported by Jimmy Bain's bass and Vinny Appice's drums.
