About the Album
The Doors' Greatest Hits is a 1980 Japanese compilation collecting ten songs from the band's classic Jim Morrison era. The selection includes “Hello, I Love You,” “Light My Fire,” “People Are Strange,” “Love Me Two Times,” “Riders on the Storm,” “The End,” “Roadhouse Blues,” “Not to Touch the Earth,” “Touch Me,” and “L.A. Woman.” Together, these tracks show the band's range from psychedelic rock and blues-driven grooves to jazz-inflected arrangements and extended, atmospheric performances. Ray Manzarek's keyboards, Robby Krieger's guitar, John Densmore's flexible drumming, and Morrison's distinctive vocals give the music its unmistakable character. This Japanese promotional pressing is a collectible edition of the compilation, with the exact track sequence reflecting this release.
