About the Album
Ratt's self-titled six-track mini-album, originally released in the early 1980s and issued in Japan by Time Coast in 1985, captures the band before its full-length album breakthrough. The set includes “Sweet Cheater,” “You Think You're Tough,” “U Got It,” “Tell the World,” “Back for More,” and “Walkin' the Dog.” These recordings show the group's rawer early sound, combining blues-based hard rock, energetic guitar riffs, and Stephen Pearcy's distinctive vocals. Warren DeMartini and Robbin Crosby's guitar interplay points toward the more polished melodic-metal style that would soon bring the band international success. This Japanese P-6203 mini-LP is a collectible early release from Ratt's development.
