About the Album

Fleetwood Mac's self-titled 1975 album marked a turning point for the group with the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Their songwriting and vocal styles joined Christine McVie's melodic contributions, creating a new balance of harmony-rich pop rock and more individualistic guitar arrangements. “Rhiannon” became one of Stevie Nicks's signature songs, while “Say You Love Me” and “Over My Head” highlight Christine McVie's gift for concise, warm melodies. Buckingham's “Monday Morning” adds a brighter, more driving energy. The album's success established the lineup that would soon record Rumours, and it remains an important bridge between Fleetwood Mac's earlier blues-oriented history and its mid-1970s pop-rock identity.
