About the Album
This release documents the historic appearance by Elton John and John Lennon at Madison Square Garden on November 28, 1974. Lennon joined Elton John's concert after their collaboration on “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night,” performing that song alongside “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “I Saw Her Standing There.” It proved to be Lennon's final full concert appearance, making the performance a notable moment in rock history. Elton John's band provides a lively backing, while Lennon's presence connects the event to both his Beatles past and his solo career. This Japanese K28P-200 edition preserves a short but significant live document from the mid-1970s.
