If you are ordering Japanese vinyl records from our store and live in a country within the European Union (EU), please be aware of an important customs regulation that took effect in July 2026.
New Customs Rules for Low-Value Imports
The European Union has introduced new customs rules for imported goods from outside the EU.
Previously, many low-value shipments entered the EU with fewer customs charges. However, under the new regulations, vinyl records shipped from Japan may now be subject to customs duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, or other import charges—even for orders valued under €150.
These charges are determined by the customs authorities and/or the shipping carrier in your country.
Why Did I Have to Pay Customs Fees?
Some of our customers have recently contacted us after receiving customs invoices for the first time.
If you have ordered Japanese pressings, rare Japanese vinyl, or collectible records from Japan in the past without paying customs duties, you may notice a difference under the new regulations.
This change is the result of new EU customs policies and is not specific to our store.
Are These Charges Included in the Purchase Price?
No.
Import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and any other taxes are not included in our product prices or shipping charges.
These fees are collected by your country's customs authorities or the shipping company and are the buyer's responsibility.
